Carols by Candlelight
Carols by Candlelight.
Our annual Carols by Candlelight service took place at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Stroud. The congregation enjoyed a rich and varied programme of traditional carols and hymns, beautifully performed by the choir and congregation, alongside a series of readings delivered by staff and students—including a delightful moment featuring Paddington Bear meeting Father Christmas.
Once again, the choir was made up of students from across all year groups alongside members of staff. We were proud to showcase our KS3 Choir, Senior Girls’ Choir and Senior Boys’ Choir, all performing alongside the main school choir. It is always a special moment to hear an A Level Music class sing confidently in four-part harmony. We were also honoured to welcome back several former students who returned to sing with us—some home from university for the Christmas break, others generously taking time from their busy working lives to rejoin their St Peter’s family. We are immensely proud of them and deeply grateful for their contribution.
Our past and present students remind us that, just as the Page followed in his Master’s footsteps, we too can follow one another, carrying the joy and glory of Christmas forward to each new generation.
May we take this opportunity to wish you and your families a joyful and peaceful Christmas.
