The ethos of St Peter’s is: to provide a high quality education within the context of a Christian environment. An understanding of the Roman Catholic faith, in line with the Gospel message, underpins the whole work of the school. The main aim is to develop the self esteem, dignity and respect of all members of the community by concentrating on each person's infinite worth in the eyes of God.
We ask all parents applying for a place at St Peter’s to respect this ethos and its importance to the school community. This does not affect the right of parents who are not of the faith of this school to apply for and be considered for a place.

Admission to St Peter's High School in September 2022:
The aptitude process is designed to give talented students an opportunity to gain a place on the Elite Performance Pathway (EPP) at St Peters RC High School. The EPP is an in-curricular strength and conditioning programme, offering students a world-class experience over their seven-year journey with us.
Originally developed in 2012, the EPP has gone on to produce generations of professional and semi-professional athletes in a whole host of sports. As this is a very unique and valued programme within the United Kingdom run by experts in youth physical development, we are looking for the most rounded individuals regardless of your current playing level. The testing process will monitor everything from physical to psychological aptitudes of excellence.
Testing can take place over several days, and the top 12 candidates for sport and 3 top candidates for music and 3 for drama will be offered a place at the school, with automatic entry onto the EPP programme.
