Year 6 Transition FAQ's
Can my child learn a musical instrument when in school?
Private instrumental/vocal lessons are available at St Peter’s for the following
Piano, Singing, Drums, Guitar (electric, acoustic, classical or bass), Violin, Viola, ‘Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba.
- Lessons are given during the school day by specialist teachers
- Lessons are rotated so that students do not miss the same subject each week
- There are usually 30 lessons per year
- £15 per 30-minute lesson or £7.50 per 15-minute lesson
- Payment is spread evenly over the year via Standing Order or Online Banking
- Bursaries may be available for those on Pupil Premium

KB Coaches run a service from Nympsfield, Willetts from the Forest of Dean and Stagecoach have services from Cheltenham, Gloucester and Stroud: Follow this link for all bus service to the school.
Where can I get my Child's school Uniform?
Ordering new uniform during COVID-19: information for parents from Monkhouse (existing students are being asked to order uniform online) Parents of new students to the school can book an appointment to visit the Monkhouse shop in Gloucester - full details can be found in the link to parents information and on the Monkhouse website.
