This week we are focusing on the use of Padlet- a website that creates virtual boards, documents, and webpages that are easy to read and staff/ students can contribute to.
They can be used for….
- Extra reading (particularly for upper school students) - staff can add links that all students can access, but students could also add their own links to show evidence of extra reading.
- Collaborative research- set students a question/ subtopic to research in more detail. They can then add their research on to a virtual wall so it can be shared and read by other students.
- Revision- upload links to videos, revision websites and quizzes so that it is all in one place and easy to access. This could be organised within departments and shared so that links can be added over time to build up a great revision resource for students.
Phil Taylor has very kindly shared his example that he uses for revision. It has a fantastic range of links- BBC Bitesize, videos, quizzes, practice exam questions, flash cards and Powerpoints.
Below is a guide on how to set up the basics of Padlet.
