My Normandy Trip
By Sarah Harris, Year 8
Our trip to Normandy with St Peter’s High School was from 25th October and we returned on 29th October 2019.
On the Friday we travelled to France by coach. We stopped off at services stations on the way, boarded the Euro-Tunnel, then continued our journey to Chateau du Molay.
Saturday saw us visit the Bayeux Tapestry and afterwards we headed off to the market where we completed a food challenge. We had to speak French to get the ingredients for our lunch. And afterwards we ate our delicious food. Then we hopped back on the coach to visit the Bayeux Cathedral.
On the Sunday we spent the day at Mont St. Michel.
On the Monday we went to a traditional apple farm, the 360 Museum and the American Cemetery.
On the Tuesday we were travelling back to school but stopped off at Honfleur, a pretty port town, on the way.
I really enjoyed the trip, particularly the American Cemetery. The best part was travelling there and seeing the chateau. I would recommend that if you haven’t been to Normandy that you visit.
